Candidate Vote Analysis

Sen. Mark Udall—20.  Rep. Scott Tipton—76.  WHAT?  The answer is just a few sentences away.

Well, the primaries are over, the deadlines for unaffiliated and write-ins have passed, and the November ballot is set.  Let’s take a peek at who will be on the ballot and some of the voting records for them—from a LIBERTY and CONSTITUTIONAL perspective.  Now the question is:  How do we find out about their records beyond what may be on their website?  There are many different ratings available from organizations all across the political spectrum.  We like to use those that either lump them together or purport to be independent and are not ‘single issue’ groups.  This would include PRINCIPLES OF LIBERTY (state) and THE NEW AMERICAN (federal).  The New American provided the ratings above.  Another useful source is VOTESMART, which will list each vote per bill with a summary of that bill.  Since there is no opposition for the offices in Dolores County, we will not list them here.  (The names in red are linked to their website we hope.  If the little hand does not appear, use CTRL + click).
